Also, by sending 40 proof of purchases will get you a specially marked "Washington DC" model. Collectors can send 5 proof of purchases from any one region to Mattel and receive a specially marked Regional model. There will be 50 models arranged in 4 different groups. Each model will come individually packed in a blister pack with a License plate dipicting the two letter stateabbreviation and the a three digit number showing the order in which the state joined the Union. To commemorate this special event, Mattel has decided to release a special model for each of the 50 states of the US. This is something special.2002 marks the 50th birthday of Matchbox.
